Ito Kano

Born in Yokohama Japan.
From age 4, began learning violin through the Suzuki Method.
Won top prize in the Elementary School Division at the All Japan Student Music Contests
Aged 11 was the youngest musician to be accompanied by the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.
Aged 13 was the youngest musician to play at a concert endorsed by the Kanagawa Arts Foundation
Graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music, a top music-related High School. .
Studied in Vienna at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna after winning a scholarship.
In 2006, gave her first solo recitals in Vienna and Japan.
Following the success of these recitals, performed in Japan and across Europe, including Austria, Germany and Italy.
In addition to the above, she has performed recitals in numerous concert halls, including the famous Boesendorfer Hall in Vienna.
In 2008 received an award from University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna .
In 2010 a concert tour was so well received by critics in Germany that a German newspaper ran a special feature about her.
She has also won numerous awards both as a soloist and a member of chamber orchestras.
Graduated top of her class as a postgraduate from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Based in Vienna, she performs as a soloist and member of chamber orchestras in Europe (mostly Austria and Germany) and Japan.
